The Importance of Getting a Dermatologist and just watching your skin in general
Skin care may have seemed overrated when you grew up. You might have thought at some point what the point of going to a dermatologist is and what the point of the field of dermatology is in the first place. Well I’ll tell you this. If you are asking this question you probably don’t completely understand all the different things dermatologists can do and just how broadly we can use the term skin care.
Fact: Skin care is not just helping you get rid of your acne
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in eighth grade. To me skin care meant one thing. How can I get this acne off my face. As 14 year old male I really don’t want to look like this I mean it is so incredibly humiliating for me. I really have got to clean up and get my act together. So here is what I am going to do. If I’ve got acne oh not my face who am I going to call for the proper skin care treatment I need for this acne epidemic? A dermatologist. This is exactly what I did. I did this and began using prescription acne cream to give my face the proper skin care it needed. However, proper skin care could also help treat serious skin conditions like Eczema. Eczema could lead to serious irritation to the skin and could impair daily functioning if you do not use proper skin care treatment necessary to relieve you of the pain which this skin condition may end up causing you. Additionally for those prone to more dry skin those who use moisturizers help prevent a lot of bleeding which dry skin may cause. This bleeding may cause limited usage of the blood infested area if you constantly have to worry about blood dripping from there when using proper skin treatment to handle dry irritated areas of your skin. Most significantly you need to make sure to use proper skin care treatment when your skin is exposed to the sun. This means using sunscreen with a SPF50 or other recommended rating to provide your skin with the skin care to limit the risks of you contracting skin cancer or some other more serious disease that you honestly want to just go and get rid of right away.
So there you have it skin care is not just about acne. It is much much more. So, just to review, when we speak about skin care we are talking about a bunch of different ways needed to treat your skin and we gave several different degrees of answers from normal dry skin, to more eczema based dry skin and even for limiting any unfortunate contractions of eczema or any other similar related diseases which in my most humble of opinions, is just something you just want to sing na na nan a na hey hey hey goodbye.
